Will McLeod

Drummer for The Hits and the Misses and host of The Minnesota Music Note, interviewed on his own show by Brett Schmidt.

Will McLeod is the host of The Minnesota Music Note and the drummer for The Hits and the Misses. Will got hooked on drums watching the percussion section at school pep rallies, joined band in eighth grade and started a first band, Knucklehead. Knucklehead once opened at the Middleburg Convention Center on a bill whose headliner, Will says, soon became Limp Bizkit. Later, a band Will played in while living in Germany won a regional battle of the bands. Overseas in Doha, Qatar, Will drummed in Richard Cranium, the only band in town playing 90s alternative rock, and earned a name as the hardest-hitting drummer in Doha. The Hits and the Misses started around 2015, and Will helped run an open jam at The Villa in Albertville. Will started the podcast to dig deeper into the stories of people in the Minnesota scene and hopes to grow it into a website with musician profiles and a place for bands and players to find each other.
