WHY NOT

Minneapolis, Twin Cities metro

Minneapolis trio that grew from math rock and punk into a genre-fluid sound.

WHY NOT is a Minneapolis trio of Henry Breen, Isaac Dell and Joshua MacGregor, formed in early 2016. The band began in math rock and punk and now calls its sound genre-fluid, with punchy drums, intricate guitars and digital distortion, as heard on its self-titled album. WHY NOT played First Avenue with HEART TO GOLD in February 2026, 7th St Entry with REIKI in June 2026, and is booked with Chutes at 7th St Entry in December 2026.
