System 13

Four-piece cover band led by guitarist Chaz and singer Angela that gives pop and country hits a heavier rock edge.

System 13 started when guitarist Chaz needed a band for a private gig after leaving Menace. Chaz expected it to be one show and done, but it went well and kept growing. Bassist Mike, known as GP, played with Chaz for years in Grind, and the two are the only members left from the start. Singer Angela answered an ad for a female singer, and drummer Mark, a metal player with very fast feet, joined after the first drummer left. The current lineup has been together about three years. The band likes songs other bands don't play and gives pop and country hits a heavier sound, with Chaz playing country songs on Ibanez and seven-string guitars. System 13 has opened shows with a cover of Miley Cyrus's version of Heart of Glass. The band plays bars, street dances, county fairs and private parties, and is thinking about adding a guitar or keyboard player.
