She spent 21 years, from 2000 to 2021, as a percussionist and later a vocalist in the 188th Army Band of the North Dakota National Guard. After her time in the band, Kacie found her next projects through the local open jams. She now sings in the Iron Maiden tribute Two Minutes to Maiden, the Rush tribute Exit Stage Right, the high-energy cover band Cover to Cover, and the country band Twang Cities.
