Jon Stunn Mangnason

Thrash singer turned bassist with 35-plus years in Twin Cities bands, from Avalanche to Fool Fighters and Hollywood Boulevard, and host of the Stunner Stage podcast.

Jon Stunn Mangnason has been playing in Twin Cities bands for 35 to 40 years. He started as a singer in thrash metal, fronting Avalanche with his best friend Wally Borgan through the 1990s, and later switched to bass because Wally was the better guitar player. Since then Jon has played in some of the area's early tribute bands, including the AC/DC tribute TNT and the Foo Fighters tribute Fool Fighters, plus the cover bands Anthem and Hollywood Boulevard. He also hosts the Stunner Stage podcast, where he talks with local musicians.
