Danny Lee Jorgensen

Self-taught lead guitarist in Cursed by Lightning, the AC/DC tribute Old Voltage, the Judas Priest tribute Hellion and Arena.

Danny Lee Jorgensen is a self-taught guitarist who never took a lesson. AC/DC's TNT hooked Danny as a kid, and Danny worked through a book of 180 AC/DC tabs, played along to concert DVDs, and later dug into Led Zeppelin, the Ramones, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, KISS and Pantera. At 20 Danny joined Revenant Soul, a first Twin Cities band, and played its biggest early show on a bill with The Iron Maidens. During COVID a friend invited Danny to Mad Mike's jam, and Danny went nearly every Thursday for about three years. Bands grew right out of that jam: Danny joined Old Voltage, an AC/DC tribute, after a backstage chat at a showcase, and helped start Hellion, a Judas Priest tribute that grew from a few songs to two full sets. Danny's main band is Cursed by Lightning, which started about two years ago with a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute show and is now writing and recording originals with southern rock roots. Danny also plays in Arena after first filling in for a show with The Pork Tornadoes.
